Chieftains Home Nations Champions

On the 24th May, the Chieftains played in the Kukri Home Nations Challenge against England and Wales. England entered 2 teams as Team Ireland due to unforseen ircumstances pulled out. read more

Ouch ouch and errrr ouch comes to mind on the opening games of the senior season and it was not all due to the weather. read more

3 Hornets make the Chieftain Squad

Coach Fletcher put all 25 people that attended through 5 and half hours of rigourous drills. Then it was a waiting game to see who had made the squad. Kenny, Richie and AndyC all made the chieftain squad that will face the Crusaders, Dragons and Team Ireland on the 24th May at Leicester. Congrats to you all.

Seniors League Starts

The seniors will kick off their league campaign against the two best team in Britain, Kirkcaldy Bulls and Carluke Cobras on Sun 31st May. This will be an away game, venue TBA.

Awards Night 2008

Well this years awards night was a great success and I am thankful for all that made it possible, read more

Grudge Match 8th Nov

On the 8th Nov a very closely contested and heated game between the juniors and youths took place at East End Healty Living Centre. There was not much in the game but there had to be a winner and it was the Youths 26-25. Unlucky juniors maybe next time.

4th October

Hornets held a junior tournament which was names Clyde Bowl. With the Grangemouth Broncos, Coventry Wolves, Wolverines and Huskies.all in attendance. Even though the weather was drab there was good football played by all. In the end though the Glasgow Hornets won the Clyde Bowl read more

 

Remember to bring gum shields and plastic studded football boots if you wish to train and play any games.

This is a reminder for next season that no pockets are allowed when playing games or even at practice. You CANNOT wear anything that has pockets even if they are zipped!!.
