28th April

The Scottish Senior Flag Football seasons kicks off in the East End of Glasgow with the British Champions the Kirkcaldy Bulls playing the Glasgow Hornets kick off 7:30pm. The Glasgow Hornets are out to upset the much favoured Bulls as they are undefeated in the domestic league for the last 5 years.

26th April

Following extremely well attended try outs in Gateshead and Bristol the GB Lions Youth coaching staff have made the very difficult decision regarding the 75 strong Young Lions 2010 EFAF registered squad. BIG well done to Craig Samuel for being picked as a TE. read more

24th April

Youths travel to Battery Park to play the Inverclyde Pheonix in a friendly. Consent forms be handed out and must be returned before playing.

The Greatest Honour

Well I am sure that this will go down as the greatest day in Hornets history, as they became the 1st Scottish youth team to acclaim the title of 2009 Youth National Champions. They overcame all odds by beating the Eagles in the Semi-Final. Then going on to beat Woodham 33-32 in the final. More details to follow.

 

 

 

 

Chieftains Home Nations Champions

On the 24th May, the Chieftains played in the Kukri Home Nations Challenge against England and Wales. England entered 2 teams as Team Ireland due to unforseen ircumstances pulled out. read more

Ouch ouch and errrr ouch comes to mind on the opening games of the senior season and it was not all due to the weather. read more

Remember to bring gum shields and plastic studded football boots if you wish to train and play any games.

This is a reminder for next season that no pockets are allowed when playing games or even at practice. You CANNOT wear anything that has pockets even if they are zipped!!.
