Saturday 23rd May Well after Kenny and Richie get to my house it was nearly time to start the journey to Leciester, however though we still had 1 more person to pick up, the most important person actually. Head Coach Mark Fletcher. Now we are ready to make the trip. It is now just after 8:30am. Then of course was the formalities of filling the car with petrol get some munchies and off we go. The rain on the way down was torrential, but hey it is Scotland :D. Then Kenny broke out the Sports Mixture (woohoo, brings back sooooo many memories of the last trip to Leciester). Richie was of course being his QUIET self :P. Then a weee stop at Tebay Services for a bite to eat and a coffee. Stretch of the legs and a pitstop :D. After 30 mins or so it was time to continue the journey, looking at the traffic on the other side of the road I am just glad we were not heading North, as the tailbacks was at least 8 miles long. The weather started to get better and better the further south we went. It was a quick journey we arrived at the Hotel just after 2pm. Met up with 2 more of the squad as they fly down ooooooh how posh :D, only joking boys. That was Mike and Stuart from the Oilcats. As we needed to pick up some things we headed into the centre of Leciester and man it was really warm. Got our essentials and then it a training session, that lasted about an hour. After that back to the rooms for a shower and change and head out for dinner, which was laughable. It seems there is nowhere much to eat after 8pm as we found out. Eventually 5 of us got to eat at Bella Pasta (the rest was split between Pizza Hut and a chinese karaoke buffet restuarant). By the time we had finished our meals and headed back to the hotel, we chatted for a while as some played poker for a bit. Then it was bed time. Sunday 24th May Aaaah the big day had arrived. Up at 7am to get ready for 7:30am, down for breakfast....................at least we were not last down. After which we checked out the room and began our way to the sports ground. We turned up and the Crusaders (England) and Dragons (Wales), were already there warming up. As Team Ireland had pulled out due to unforseen circumstances, the Crusaders split there squad into 2 teams (well there was 20 of them). We donned our strips got ourselves organised and warmed up as our 1st game was going to be against Crusaders A, 2nd game Crusaders B and then our last game of the day was to be against the Dragons. After warm ups, rubbed on the suntan lotion and got our pep talks it was time to get the 1st game on.
